Position Summary
\nThe Creative Careers Coach will
\n\u25cf Guide, advise, and support students interested in social impact careers through the
\ncareer planning, decision making, and job searching processes.
\n\u25cf Assist students in analyzing their interests and skills and developing career goals.
\n\u25cf Work with students of all identities to ensure they have access to the level of support
\nthey need to be successful.
\n\u25cf Assist the Social Impact Careers Program Manager to develop and execute experiential
\nlearning programs at the Social Impact Careers Hub.

\nThe coach will work on average 20 hours per week in person. The pay for the position is
\nbudgeted for $40\/hour.
\nPosition Duties<\/p>\n
Career Coaching (75%)
\n\u25cf Coach and advise students and alumni individually, related to career\/life planning
\nstrategies.
\n\u25cf Evaluate students’ skills, interests, values, personality attributes, and experience.
\n\u25cf Instruct students in methods of career exploration to enable them to make effective
\ncareer decisions.
\n\u25cf Work with students to formulate an individualized plan of action including developing an
\neffective resume\/cover letter, developing interviewing skills through mock interviews, and
\ndesigning job search strategies.
\nCareer Development Programming (25%)
\n\u25cf Implement career-related workshops and services to students and alumni.<\/p>\n
\u25cf Utilize relevant educational and organizational materials to support programs.
\n\u25cf Identify and secure guest speakers and moderate panels for academic and career
\nprograms.
\nPosition Qualifications<\/p>\n
Required Education and Experience
\n\u25cf Bachelor\u2019s degree or combination of education and experience.
\n\u25cf Experience in career coaching and\/or academic advising
\n\u25cf 3+ years relevant experience in the social impact industry (e.g., nonprofit administration,
\ncommunity engagement and organizing).
\nPreferred Education and Experience
\n\u25cf Master\u2019s in Public Administration, Public Policy, Business Administration, Education, or a
\nrelated field
\n\u25cf 5+ years relevant experience
\n\u25cf Experience implementing programs, seminars, events, and preparing training materials
