Looking forward to hearing from you.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Best,<\/div>\n<div>Kang<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>DIGITAL PROJECT MANAGER (CONTRACT POSITION)<br \/>\nCOOPER HEWITT, SMITHSONIAN DESIGN MUSEUM<br \/>\nwww.cooperhewitt.org<br \/>\nDuration of the contract is seven months.<br \/>\nNovember 28, 2022\u2013June 25, 2023<\/p>\n<p>OVERVIEW<br \/>\nThe Digital Project Manager will assist Digital &amp; Emerging Media (DEM) by providing digital<br \/>\nproject management support by executing a variety of methodologies like, Agile, Scrum, and<br \/>\nWaterfall. The incumbent will actively participate in the execution and delivery of a wide array<br \/>\nof new digital products. Works closely with the lead content strategist and the members of the<br \/>\nDEM team.<br \/>\nReports to the Director of Cross-Platform Content.<br \/>\nMAJOR DUTIES<br \/>\n\u2022 Executes digital project management such as Agile and Scrum to establish a digital project, run<br \/>\nthe sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives with the DEM team and<br \/>\nany internal stakeholders.<br \/>\n\u2022 Identifies and monitors project risks, roadblocks, dependencies, and communicating those<br \/>\nstatuses between members of DEM, internal museum stakeholders and 3rd<\/p>\n<p>-party vendors who<\/p>\n<p>are executing and developing digital products.<br \/>\n\u2022 Creates and monitors project plans using a variety of digital project management tools, such as<br \/>\nJIRA, Microsoft Projects, Trello, and GitHub Issues.<br \/>\n\u2022 Leads and executes small digital projects related to the digital extraction of collections data<br \/>\nfrom TMS and Cooper Hewitt&#8217;s databases and communicates project status between DEM,<br \/>\ncuratorial and registrar departments so that data can be made available to the public on our<br \/>\nweb platforms using HTML, CSS, PHP, and our API (Application Programming Interface).<br \/>\n\u2022 Produces and manages project documentation for the DEM, Tessitura customer relationship<br \/>\nmanagement team, and Cross-Platform Content.<br \/>\n\u2022 Records and documents meeting minutes for distribution.<br \/>\n\u2022 Assists with new and modified contracts and purchase orders.<br \/>\n\u2022 Schedules meetings with DEM, cross-departmental stakeholders, and 3rd parties.<\/p>\n<p>QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:<br \/>\nMinimum of two years of full-time experience that demonstrates the following<br \/>\nknowledge\/skills\/abilities:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Experience working with software development teams to manage web-related projects and<br \/>\nproduct development.<br \/>\n\u2022 Knowledge of implementing a variety of digital project management methodologies such as<br \/>\nAgile and Scrum, establishing digital project plans, running sprint planning, daily scrums, sprint<br \/>\nreviews and retrospectives.<br \/>\n\u2022 Knowledge of identifying and monitoring project risks, roadblocks, dependencies, and<br \/>\ncommunicating those statuses between internal museum stakeholders and 3rd party vendors.<br \/>\n\u2022 Knowledge of using a variety of digital project management software tools, such as JIRA,<br \/>\nMicrosoft Projects, Trello and GitHub Issues.<br \/>\n\u2022 Knowledge of museum data management such as &#8220;The Museum System&#8221; (TMS) or equivalent<br \/>\ncollection management system, how the curatorial department and registrar use that data, and<br \/>\nhow that data is rendered to the public with technologies such as databases, HTML, CSS, PHP<br \/>\nand other modem web frameworks, and APIs.<br \/>\n\u2022 Knowledge of technical writing for the documentation of a digital projects<br \/>\n\u2022 Basic understanding of budgets and related software and\/or hardware to assist in predicating<br \/>\nthe potential cost to projects or assist in the estimation of feasible budgets\/provide<br \/>\nrecommendations and or proposals.<br \/>\n\u2022 Understanding of web technology to understand how websites and network works, such as<br \/>\nHTML, CSS, and other modem website languages. Knowing what Application Programming<br \/>\nInterface (API) and databases are.<br \/>\n\u2022 Knowledge of overall system software, hardware, and networking to help DEM team recognize<br \/>\ninterrelationships sufficient to report, respond to, and resolve customer requests.<br \/>\n\u2022 Knowledge of Microsoft Windows OS 7, 8.1, Windows 10, and Microsoft Office products, and<br \/>\nother common personal computer software and applications.
