Lead the Institute team in matters of technology and design and represent the Institute with NYU and external collaborators in these arenas. Plan and implement periodic maintenance, upgrades, and redesign of all websites and platforms in accordance with state-of-the art standards and trends in order to ensure preservation and accessibility over time. Create and implement formats and design to facilitate and streamline staff effectiveness and improve management of project resources and assets. Oversee all information technology services, activities, and performance of technology tools for the Hemispheric Institute.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Qualifications:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Required Education:<\/strong> Required Experience:<\/strong> Preferred Experience:<\/strong> Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:<\/strong> Experience with end-to-end design, from strategy and branding to full implementation and maintenance<\/span><\/p>\n Familiarity with inclusive and accessible design, including ADA WCAG 2.0 protocols<\/span><\/p>\n Experience with design tools such as Adobe CC Sketch and Figma<\/span><\/p>\n Advanced knowledge and experience with CMS tools (content management systems) such as JOOMLA! and WordPress<\/span><\/p>\n Fluency in HTML, CSS, and other development tools<\/span><\/p>\n Experience managing technology and design teams and projects<\/p>\n Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:<\/strong> <\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Additional Information:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $75,000.00 to USD $125,000.00. \nBachelor’s Degree in web and graphic design or related field<\/p>\n
\n5+ years relevant experience in advanced web design, management, implementation, and maintenance, or equivalent combination of education and experience<\/p>\n
\nExperience in an academic and\/or arts environment<\/p>\n
\nKnowledge of UX, UI, and IxD design, wireframing\u2028 interface development, interaction design, information architecture and prototyping<\/span><\/p>\n
\nProficiency with Spanish and\/or Portuguese and familiarity with Latin America<\/span><\/p>\n
