Led by a kind, empathic co-founder with a recent successful exit under his belt, they\u2019re a close-knit, friendly and passionate group of scientists and builders exploring the boundaries of how artificial intelligence can benefit humanity.<\/p>\n<p>They\u2019ve been growing quickly but sustainably, and are actively hiring across the board in a down market &#8211; always a good sign! They\u2019re attracting top talent from Google, Amazon, Palantir, Snap, Flatiron Health, and Microsoft.<\/p>\n<p>Their products have helped some of the world\u2019s largest consumer-goods and manufacturing companies transform their sales and supply chains into autonomous, self-learning systems \u2014 and, they\u2019re also playing in the sustainability and renewable energy space, to move our world towards less dependence on fossil fuels. A dreamy future, non?<\/p>\n<p>They\u2019re seeking a fulltime Design Technologist\u00a0(aka &#8220;Product Engineer&#8221;)\u00a0to work at the intersection of Engineering and Design, with 75%+ focus on Engineering (React, HTML, CSS, Javascript, Node), and 25% on UX\/UI Design (you can use Figma to mock up prototypes and demos, and have a strong product intuition.)<\/p>\n<p>You\u2019ll do cool stuff like make customizations for various clients within the existing system, build out capabilities of their tools, and more.<\/p>\n<p><strong>You\u2019ll be responsible for\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Partnering directly with the CEO to productize novel ML models and bring solutions to life.<\/li>\n<li>Working closely with real enterprise users in many different countries, as well as the engineers and scientists on your team, to define what human-computer interaction looks like in an age of active learning AI.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>You have\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Excitement for AI and building machine learning systems<\/li>\n<li>Passion for good engineering, clean code, and scalability<\/li>\n<li>Interest in the full ML stack from initial R&amp;D through deploying models into production<\/li>\n<li>Experience working with data in Python and SQL<\/li>\n<li>The ability to communicate technical concepts clearly at all levels, whether that be engaging deeply on a topic with other Machine Learning Scientists or sharing key insights with business stakeholders<\/li>\n<li>Experience owning, architecting, building, and scaling complex web applications<\/li>\n<li>Experience developing rich applications with HTML, CSS, Javascript, Node, and React<\/li>\n<li>Strong Computer Science fundamentals in data structures, algorithm design, and problem solving<\/li>\n<li>Figma skills to design mockups and prototypes, and a good product design sense<\/li>\n<li>Experience collaborating with Product Designers, Software Engineers and external stakeholders to deliver compelling user-facing products<\/li>\n<li>A strong customer focus with the ability to translate user requirements into good design<\/li>\n<li>The ability to take a project from scoping its requirements through to the actual launch<\/li>\n<li>Experience with continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Nice to haves\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience developing rich applications with Three.js and D3.js<\/li>\n<li>Significant understanding of browser compatibility<\/li>\n<li>Significant understanding of UX concepts<\/li>\n<li>Ability to identify and resolve performance and scalability issues<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of web security best practices<\/li>\n<li>Experience building software scalable systems that have been successfully delivered to customers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Salary<\/b>: $150-200K + equity, depending on experience.
