We are seeking two new faculty members to join our growing and vibrant
\ncohort. The Department of Performing Arts Technology
\n<https:\/\/smtd.umich.edu\/department\/department-of-performing-arts-technology\/<\/a>>
\nat the University of Michigan’s School of Music, Theatre & Dance integrates
\nthe study of music, engineering, and allied arts in a close-knit,
\ncollaborative environment across a range of graduate and undergraduate
\ndegrees
\n<https:\/\/smtd.umich.edu\/department\/department-of-performing-arts-technology\/#degrees<\/a>>.
\nThe faculty is composed of internationally renowned researchers, teachers,
\nartists, and practitioners. A recent $29.5 million facilities renovation
\nhas created state-of-the-art studios and research facilities that foster
\ncutting-edge work at the intersection of art, science, and technology.<\/p>\n

The Department of Performing Arts Technology has opened two faculty searches
\nto support and further propel the department’s growth.<\/p>\n

– *Assistant Professor, Tenure-Track

\ninnovative practitioners and\/or researchers working at the intersection
\nof computational creativity and artificial intelligence as it applies to
\nmusic, sound, and visual arts, with a strong musical background and
\nadditional interest, experience, and expertise in one or more complementary
\nareas.
\n– *Assistant\/Associate Professor, Tenure-Track

\ninnovative practitioners and\/or researchers in the area of audio
\nengineering and production, with a strong musical background and additional
\ninterest, experience, and expertise in one or more complementary areas.<\/p>\n
