Micro Museum is seeking an Intern to assist with Archive Development<\/strong>
Job Description: Archive Development Intern\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Assist with the many different tasks associated with improving Micro Museum Archive: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ingest of tapes and scanning of photographs and documents. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Digital Inventory consisting of Matching and copying files, identifying and labeling various digital assets such as photo, video, audio,  documents. Creating cross correlations of reference artwork by associating assets with timeline and physical inventory.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Physical Inventory consisting of sorting Artwork, DVDs and other objects, moving, unpacking and packing boxes, photographing or  cataloging and labeling objects, recording provenance ie. Description, Quantity, SN and Nameplate Data, etc. assigning asset  reference and location into excel database using Micro Museum equipment.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Restoring some old sculptures and then packing them properly to be placed in the physical archive. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Candidate skills needed  <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Good command of English <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Legible handwriting  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Able to use hand tools including label maker.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Understand how to operate and connect media equipment <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Proficient with Mac Computer, Excel, Database and Web applications <\/p>\n\n\n\n

PC UNIX Linux a plus.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Catalog items and confirm locations <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Carry objects up and down stairs <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Move, load and unload rolling carts <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pack and unpack artwork and other items.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Clean items as needed  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Photograph items as needed <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ingest, Operate Video players and Digital Recorders <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Work Details  <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

10 Sessions 5 hours each 1x\/ week for 10 – 12 Weeks depending on scheduling <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Flex Time possible  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Timing – Afternoons or Evenings – Fridays or Saturdays <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Start date will be late January or early February depending on schedules.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

One Course Credit Plus $500 Stipend <\/p>\n\n\n\n
