The Ammerman Center for Arts and Technology invites submissions for its 18th Triennial Symposium\u2014a highly participatory, intimate interdisciplinary gathering at the intersection of the Arts, technology, and contemporary culture. Featuring keynote speaker Katerina Cizek<\/a> <\/em>and commissioned works by Kate Ladenheim<\/a><\/em>, Mathieu Pradat<\/a><\/em>, and Tansy Xiao<\/a><\/em>, the event includes exhibitions, performances, talks, workshops, and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year\u2019s theme, All Too Human<\/strong><\/em>, invites critical and creative engagement with what it means to be human\u2014or more-than-human\u2014in an era shaped by climate crisis, war, automation, and technological transformation.
Who gets to be recognized as human, and under what conditions? How do scientific and technological systems extend, constrain, or reconfigure bodies and ecosystems? What forms of knowledge, resistance, and relation emerge when the category of “human” is rendered unstable or porous?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We welcome proposals from artists, technologists, scholars, and practitioners of all backgrounds in any of the Arts, with additional support offered for underrepresented independent and early-career voices upon request. Categories include papers, panels, performances, installations, workshops, screenings, and lightning talks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
