The platform (<a href=\"http:\/\/ctforall.net\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ctforall.net<\/a>) enables teachers to use integrate<br>concepts of computational thinking into their existing lesson plans. Computational thinking (CT)<br>is now an education standard in most states, and involves teaching high-level principles of data<br>abstraction, pattern recognition, and algorithms. CT is not coding but rather understanding of<br>general programming logic concepts. The site currently is in use in a variety of situations, but<br>lacks consistent, modern UIX. The professor is seeking someone to upgrade the current site<br>possibly with improved icon graphics, cosmetics, material presentation, etc. The chosen<br>designer will spend some time becoming familiar with the intended audience, similar sites and<br>overall differentiation of this platform within the education domain. Using general design and<br>UIX skills, the designer will create some pages, provide templates for others, create a toolkit of<br>CSS files and icons. Opportunities exist for the designer to learn about the technical architecture<br>of this application.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Applicants should have completed the IMS Design Fundamentals and User Experience Design<br>courses. The estimated time period is 40-80 hours, with a remuneration of $1000 to $1500.<br>Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa<br>sponsorship now or in the future.
