{"id":23458,"date":"2025-11-17T12:45:47","date_gmt":"2025-11-17T17:45:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/itp.nyu.edu\/opportunities\/?p=23458"},"modified":"2025-11-17T12:45:48","modified_gmt":"2025-11-17T17:45:48","slug":"job-creative-career-hub-special-events-stage-manager","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/itp.nyu.edu\/opportunities\/2025\/11\/17\/job-creative-career-hub-special-events-stage-manager\/","title":{"rendered":"JOB: Creative Career Hub Special Events Stage Manager"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The&nbsp;<strong>NYU&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>Creative Career Hub<\/strong>&nbsp;is looking for a&nbsp;<strong>Special Events Stage Manager (SME) &amp; Administrative Assistant<\/strong>&nbsp;to join our team for the&nbsp;<strong>Spring 2025 semester<\/strong>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is an exciting&nbsp;<strong>in-person, part-time opportunity (10 hours\/week)<\/strong>&nbsp;for a creative, organized, and technically minded student who loves live events and supporting the arts community at NYU.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As the&nbsp;<strong>Special Events Stage Manager &amp; Administrative Assistant<\/strong>, you\u2019ll:<br>&#x1f3ac; Support and run live events and workshops\u2014handling lighting, sound, and audience experience<br>&#x1f4f8; Help document events through photography or video<br>&#x1f3a4; Troubleshoot virtual and in-person event tech needs<br>&#x1f4bb; Assist with front desk coverage and administrative support<br>&#x1f91d; Represent the Creative Career Hub as an ambassador and help promote our programs<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Position Details:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Hours:<\/strong>\u00a0~10 hours\/week, not to exceed 190 hours total<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Schedule:<\/strong>\u00a0Flexible weekday hours (10:30 a.m.\u20134:30 p.m.) + events on\u00a0<strong>Tuesday evenings and Fridays (9 a.m.\u20135 p.m.)<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Location:<\/strong>\u00a0In-person at the Creative Career Hub, NYU Production Lab<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Pay Rate:<\/strong>\u00a0$17\/hour (undergraduate) | $30\/hour (graduate)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Reports to:<\/strong>\u00a0Creative Career Hub Program Manager<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What We\u2019re Looking For:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Professional communication (in person &amp; over email)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Comfort with Mac OS and event tech (projectors, sound, lighting)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prior experience in stage or production management<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enthusiasm for live events and problem-solving under pressure<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Bonus Skills:<\/strong><br>Photography, video, live streaming, social media (Instagram\/TikTok), or experience with ETC lighting, Crestron, or live audio mixing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#x2728;&nbsp;<strong>About the Creative Career Hub<\/strong><br>Part of the&nbsp;<strong>NYU Wasserman Center for Career Development<\/strong>, the Creative Career Hub helps students pursuing careers in arts and entertainment connect their creativity with professional opportunities.
