{"id":23538,"date":"2026-01-16T15:46:01","date_gmt":"2026-01-16T20:46:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/itp.nyu.edu\/opportunities\/?p=23538"},"modified":"2026-01-16T15:46:01","modified_gmt":"2026-01-16T20:46:01","slug":"call-nyc-membership-community-concepting-sprint","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/itp.nyu.edu\/opportunities\/2026\/01\/16\/call-nyc-membership-community-concepting-sprint\/","title":{"rendered":"CALL: NYC Membership &amp; Community Concepting Sprint"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What\u2019s happening<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019re gathering curious, creative&nbsp;<strong>Gen Z and young millennial<\/strong>&nbsp;participants, students and non-students alike, who care deeply about:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Holistic well-being<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sustainability and regeneration<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Community, belonging, and collective impact<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Together, we\u2019ll imagine and design new&nbsp;<strong>membership models that are truly for and by, their members.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What they\u2019ll do<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>During an energizing&nbsp;<strong>2.5-day, in-person sprint<\/strong>, they\u2019ll:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Dream up ways to attract, nurture, and grow meaningful communities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Co-create innovative membership models<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Build blueprints for services that support both individual and collective well-being<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Define clear intentions and measurable goals for long-term impact<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pitch ideas to innovation leaders and changemakers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What students gain<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Hands-on, real-world experience applying creative and strategic thinking<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Meaningful connections with fellow innovators and industry leaders<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Recognition, plus opportunities for ongoing collaboration or future roles<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A\u00a0<strong>stipend<\/strong>\u00a0for their time and participation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Who should apply&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Graduate students, advanced undergraduates, recent grads, or early-career creatives<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No specific major required\u2014just curiosity, openness, and a passion for positive change<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Interest in community, sustainability, well-being, or innovation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Some familiarity with community-building is helpful, but not required<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Time commitment<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Two short virtual prep sessions (1\u20132 hours each)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A\u00a0<strong>2.5-day in-person sprint in NYC<\/strong>, starting\u00a0<strong>February 1 or February 2, 2026<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Light follow-up over the weeks after, with support from our team<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Submissions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Interested students should review the&nbsp;<strong>briefing pack attached<\/strong>&nbsp;and complete the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/form.typeform.com\/to\/uXxszHdD\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Typeform application<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp;by:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>Monday, January 19, 2026 at 11:59 PM EST<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Teams will be selected the week of January 22, 2026.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thanks for being part of our extended community, and we hope to see some bold ideas come through.
