Support collaboration across arts and technology; supervise CCAM staff; ensure compliance with relevant policies and procedures; and convene and work closely with the CCAM Advisory Committee. Cultivate an innovative, inclusive, energizing, and creative environment that advances the teaching, learning, and creative priorities of Yale College and Yale University.<br><br><strong>Reports to:\u00a0<\/strong>Associate Dean for the Arts, Yale College<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Key Responsibilities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Programing, services, and innovation\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Lead CCAM as an inter-department and inter-school resource for creative project planning, technical guidance, training, and mentorship.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Serve as a primary partner to Yale College departments, programs and student organizations, aligning CCAM resources, programming, and services with student and faculty needs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Collaborate with campus arts and technology units, including the Schools of Architecture, Art, Drama, and Music, and the Center for Innovation, Engineering and Design (CEID).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Program CCAM-hosted courses and manage resources to support constituent curricula.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Develop and lead programming that bridge creative practice, digital media, and technology-enabled learning.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lead ongoing assessment of existing programs and the development of new programs and services.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Teach up to one course per year (as applicable per unit and appointment terms).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Leadership and management\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Lead, supervise, and support CCAM staff, fostering a high-performing, collaborative team culture.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Operations, policy, and resource stewardship\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Ensure that CCAM resources and offerings align with and complement the University\u2019s overall technology strategy.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lead budget planning, oversight, and strategic management of CCAM resources.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Develop and oversee compliance with appropriate policies and procedures.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Advisory Committee leadership\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Convene, facilitate, and support regular Advisory Committee meetings.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Manage committee communications; support agenda-setting and follow-up.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conduct outreach to core constituencies; present on CCAM activities, issues, and priorities; and ensure effective committee operations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>External relations\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In partnership with Yale Development, support donor stewardship activities and contribute to donor communications and reporting as requested.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain relationships with external partners that advance Yale College and Yale University priorities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Required Skills and Abilities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Excellent interpersonal communication, and presentation skills with the ability to engage and interact effectively with diverse constituencies, including students, faculty, staff, and external partners.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong managerial and leadership skills, with proven experience in supervising and motivating teams, managing budgets, and leading complex projects.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Superior organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, with a high level of attention to detail and the capacity to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Well-developed decision-making, planning, and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to develop and implement innovative and effective solutions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively, exhibit sound judgment, and adapt to changing circumstances and environments.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Preferred Skills and Abilities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Arts professional with demonstrated practical experience in one or more emerging media fields, academic instruction, and arts management.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Terminal degree in arts-area field of study.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Clear and demonstrable understanding of a wide array of creative digital media practices and presentation methods, with an openness and vision for experimental, exploratory, and alternative production modalities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Minimum of five years of experience working in higher education arts-area leadership position.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/yale.wd1.myworkdayjobs.com\/external_career_site\/job\/York-St-149\/Director--Center-for-Collaborative-Arts-and-Media--CCAM-_133759WD\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">To apply for this position, visit the Careers at Yale site.<\/a>&nbsp;Please include a cover letter referencing position # 133759WD.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Now Hiring: Next Director of CCAM!
