Citizen AI invites creatives to explore the role they can play in shaping the future of AI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The paid fellowship is open to creatives of all backgrounds. Emerging, mid-career, and established practitioners are encouraged to apply. No academic degree or AI expertise required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The fellowship brings together artists, creatives, researchers, educators, technologists, and community members to explore, in a community of practice, the relationship between art, AI technology, democracy, and public life.
Applicants may have different levels of familiarity with artificial intelligence or work directly with AI technologies. We welcome creatives from diverse professional backgrounds and career stages
Selected fellows will meet regularly to work collaboratively on developing public-facing formats that explore how AI technology shapes everyday life and around the following key issues: How can AI be built up from the bottom through democratic processes? What guardrails and principles does AI technology require? How can critical knowledge about AI be shared and made accessible to the public through creative processes?
