The New York =
\nUniversity Faculty of Arts & Science is seeking a Web Administrator with=
\n an entrepreneurial spirit who will manage the website of our top-rated Jour=
\nnalism Department.=A0The successful candidate will be a visionary and a tech=
\nnical expert as this position requires expertise in dynamic web development.=
\n The successful candidate will partner with Journalism=92s leadership team t=
\no create and maintain an innovative web site that will be instrumental in at=
\ntracting prospective students, faculty, alumni and donors. With the assistan=
\nce of a technical\/editorial staff member, the successful candidate is also e=
\nxpected to maintain content and design; recommend and implement new technolo=
\ngies to meet service needs; advise and consult with faculty, staff, and stud=
\nents in the design, development and implementation of online web application=
\ns for both external publishing and internal department usage; supervise the =
\nweb content management system (CMS) and web server accounts and users; estab=
\nlish priorities and resolve routine and non-routine technical matters.<\/div>\n

Bac=
\nhelor’s degree with 3 years’ related experience or an equivalent combination=
\n. Must have experience developing and maintaining web sites including access=
\n, security, and creating\/modifying scripts. This candidate must be a fast-le=
\narning, creative problem solver, and knowledgeable about the practice of onl=
\nine journalism and publishing, including audio\/video. He\/she will possess th=
\ne ability to develop PHP\/MySQL applications (both custom and open-source, i.=
\ne. WordPress, Drupal); have excellent knowledge of Apache server, Python, an=
\nd HTML\/CSS; and basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Linux fluency.=A0<\/div>\n

* Solid communication skills with ability to work w=
\nith diverse groups of individuals including students, faculty and staff.<\/div>\n
