Apple\u00a0is looking for a\u00a0hardware\u00a0human\u00a0factors\u00a0and ergonomics\u00a0researcher to apply\u00a0user-centered design principles to product\u00a0research, design, and\u00a0development of all hardware products.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

Objectives include:<\/span>
* Develop user test criteria and detailed test plans\u00a0for hardware user\u00a0interface testing for several concurrent projects.
* Conduct user-centered research and testing\u00a0for\u00a0design concept models\u00a0on a diverse user population utilizing experimental\u00a0data,\u00a0anthropometric databases, and scientific publications.<\/span>
* Provide clear and concise analytic feedback to\u00a0teams in a timely manner.<\/span>
* Collaborate cross-functionally with design,\u00a0engineering, and marketing groups.<\/span>
* Maintain an active working knowledge of\u00a0worldwide\u00a0human\u00a0factors\u00a0publications and standards.<\/span><\/p>\n

Job qualifications:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\n

Candidates must be able to work\u00a0independently and excel in a dynamic,\u00a0hands-on, and creative corporate\u00a0environment. Ideal candidates will\u00a0possess an energetic personality with\u00a0excellent communication and\u00a0interpersonal skills, attention to detail,\u00a0patience, and aesthetic\u00a0sensibility. This position requires strengths in\u00a0creating thorough\u00a0design of experiments, utilizing the scientific method,\u00a0performing\u00a0statistical analyses, and visualizing information.<\/span><\/p>\n

Position requires a bachelor’s degree (master’s\/doctorate\u00a0preferred)\u00a0with a concentration or extensive work\u00a0in\u00a0human\u00a0factors\/ergonomics,\u00a0industrial engineering,\u00a0kinesiology, statistics, biomedical\u00a0engineering,\u00a0cognitive\/engineering\/experimental psychology, and\/or\u00a0human-computer
interaction.\u00a0Must have relevant experience in\u00a0hardware\u00a0human\u00a0factors, ergonomics,\u00a0biomechanics, audiology,\u00a0and\/or consumer product usability testing.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
