Position: Senior UX Designer\/Prototyper

Overview<\/p>\n
Method is looking for a talented, motivated Senior User Interface
\nDesigner\/Prototyper. This designer\/prototyper will work with the
\nVisual Design Lead and the Business\/Client team to prototype high\/low
\nfidelity prototypes and design innovative, industry-leading user
\ninterfaces. They will work with Usability specialists and other team
\nmembers to create the prototype that gives users the experience of
\nthe fully functional product. They
\nwill help research and analyze target audience for products and
\ndevelop creative design solutions. This designer will work with the
\nVisual Design Lead to contribute to the interaction design process
\nfrom product\/feature
\nconceptualization through implementation and usability review. The
\nideal candidate will be passionate about the end-user experience,
\nwill be able to create high \/low fidelity prototypes, and will be
\nable to work on both
\nsimple and challenging design problems.
\n Responsibilities include:<\/p>\n
Working with the UX Director to create appropriate project plans for
\nthe UX component of projects.
\nCreating high\/low fidelity prototypes that gives users the experience
\nof the fully functional application so we can get detailed and
\ninteraction type feedback from the user. Prototypes will range from
\nPaper, html and flash.
\nWorking with the Design Lead to drive interaction designs from
\nprototyping to implementation.
\nDeveloping high level, and\/or detailed storyboards, mockups and
\nprototypes to effectively communicate designs and validate usability
\nstudies.
\nDevelop product conceptual models from functional specifications,
\nmarketing requirements, and various types of user analysis.
\nConceive, set, and implement user interface guidelines and standards.
\nHelp drive the user-centered design process.
\nPrioritize design tasks and deliver projects on time.
\nSkills\/Qualifications include:
\nCandidates should be able to:
\nCreate high fidelity prototypes using Paper, HTML and\/or Flash.
\nApply market research, usability data, software technology and human
\nfactors to UI design processes and solutions.
\nWork comfortably in a multi-discipline team to deliver designs that
\nmeet customer needs, product goals, and schedules.
\nParticipate in design review sessions with project team members.
\nStrong communication skills.
\nIn depth knowledge of User Interface Design principals, Human Factors,
\nUser Centered Design Processes, Interaction Design guidelines,
\nUsability Methodologies, industry standards and trends, platform
\nstandards and software development process.
\nProficient with developing high fidelity prototypes using HTML,
\nJavascript and Flash.
\nProficiency with various design and tools (Adobe PhotoShop and
\nIllustrator, web prototyping\/design
\nBachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Industrial
\nDesign, or related field, or equivalent experience.
\n3-5 years of direct UI design experience.
\nDemonstrated experience in designing usable interfaces for large,
\ncomplex systems.
\nAble to work on multiple projects.
\nGraphic design skills including screen layout, icon development and
\nother visual design elements a plus.
\nThis designer should be an innovative, creative problem solver with
\nan eye for detail and accuracy. They must possess portfolio of
\noriginal user interface design work.
