Hey, Neighbor! is an early-stage startup working on a location-based product that will make being a good neighbor easier. We connect neighbors with neighbors who may not otherwise know each other and provide them an easy way to interact with one another.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
We are looking for a Technical Director with expertise in social networking and mobile app development to join our team full-time in our NYC office. A part-time arrangement will be considered for the right candidate.\u00a0 We have received funding and our development is set to begin in mid-October.<\/p>\n

Responsibilities<\/p>\n
– Work closely with co-founders to guide successful technical architecture and development for product features for beta release<\/p>\n
– Identify appropriate technical frameworks\/platforms, partnership opportunities, and risks<\/p>\n
– Assist with strategic planning for future feature rollouts and scaling<\/p>\n
– Develop code. We are looking for someone who can architect and be hands-on with coding.<\/p>\n
– Ensure quality implementation, debugging, and rapid release of new code<\/p>\n
– Manage any technical resources or team members<\/p>\n
– Manage deployment and performance monitoring<\/p>\n

Experience\/Skills<\/p>\n
– Experience\/familiarity with PHP, MySQL, Django, CSS, XHTML, JavaScript\/AJAX Ruby on Rails,<\/p>\n
Python, Drupal, and other web technologies<\/p>\n
– Experience with mobile technologies and iPhone\/Android app development<\/p>\n
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills<\/p>\n
– Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative atmosphere<\/p>\n
– Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to talk to technical and non-technical audiences<\/p>\n
– Management experience and previous social network start up experience<\/p>\n
– College degree in computer science a plus<\/p>\n
