Job Summary:
\nThe Information Architect’s role is to elicit, analyze, specify, and
\nvalidate the business needs with key stakeholders across the business and
\nwork with developers to define and document business and data
\nrequirements.<\/p>\n
Responsibilities:
\n* Lead requirements analysis and verification, ensuring that requirement
\nstatements are complete, consistent, concise, comprehensible, traceable,
\nfeasible, unambiguous, and verifiable, and that they conform to standards.
\n* Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements
\nworkshops, storyboards, surveys, business process descriptions, use cases,
\nscenarios, event lists, business analysis, competitive product analysis,
\ntask and workflow analysis, and\/or viewpoints.
\n* Meet with business owners to gather user requirements
\n* Collaborate to develop user mental models, navigation structures, and
\ndetailed wireframes to demonstrate concepts and solutions to stakeholders
\nand project teams
\n* Be ready to work independently in a less structured environment as well
\nas collaboratively on multi-disciplinary teams
\n* Participate in user research\/user testing<\/p>\n
Qualification\/Experience Requirements:
\n* 3-5 years business analysis and\/or information architecture experience
\nin a web development environment.
\n* Proven track record in gathering and documenting quality business
\nrequirements.
\n* Experience gathering requirements on existing complex and cross
\nfunctional business processes with multiple system interfaces.
\n* User interface design experience, adhering to Web design standards.
\n* Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, and strong attention to
\ndetails. Ability to support multiple projects concurrently. A portfolio of
\nuser flows, site maps and wireframes
\n* Knowledge of UCD process, methodology and best practices
\n* Ability to ask appropriate questions and communicate effectively and
\npersuasively to convey solutions to a broad range of stakeholders: Product
\nmangers, Business Analysts, developers, etc.
\n* Strong attention to detail, excellent analytical skills
\n* Excellent written, oral and diagrammatic communication skills
\n* Any experience with Vignette 7 highly desirable
\n* Understanding of the capabilities and limitations of HTML, XML, CSS,
\nJavaScript, Ajax, Flash, Flex
\n* Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Human Computer Interaction, Design or
\nrelated field<\/p>\n
