Location: New York City<\/p>\n
Toura is developing a platform for the efficient creation of multi-media tour applications for smart phones, such as the iPhone, Android, Nokia, Blackberry and similar devices. With operations in the U.S. and Europe, Toura is working with world-renowned museums, cultural institutions and tourist attractions to help them to create mobile tours that are educational and enriching. Toura\u02bcs cutting edge technology and business model make it one of the emerging leaders in this field.<\/p>\n
Toura is currently recruiting a Front-End\/Mobile Developer to work in our New York City office. We are seeking an experienced software engineer specializing in web application development with a focus on HTML, CSS, and Javascript with a side of Ruby on Rails. The Front-End\/Mobile Developer will work on user interface development and mobile application development and Rails web applications. Experience with Objective-C (iPhone\/iPad), Java (Android), or PhoneGap a plus.

RESPONSIBILITIES
\u2022\tDeveloping mobile applications using HTML\/Javascript, Objective-C, and Java
\u2022\tDeveloping advanced web user interface components using JavaScript\/HTML\/Rails
\u2022\tWorking with QA and Development teams to troubleshoot bugs and glitches
\u2022\tDeveloping QA tests for functionality and usability testing<\/p>\n
REQUIREMENTS
\u2022\tAdvanced knowledge of JavaScript, XML, DHTML and CSS
\u2022\tProgramming experience in Ruby and Rails
\u2022\t3-5 years experience designing and implementing web applications
\u2022\tExcellent written and oral communication skills<\/p>\n
