Description:<\/strong> Our client, a start-up company based in New York City, is seeking a Director of Game Development and Technology to drive the development of an online game<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Part-Time Flexible, Remote Position: Approximately 20 hours\/week with opportunity to increase hours over time – occasional meetings in New York City<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 This position will report directly to the company\u2019s CEO\/Founder<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Day to Day Responsibilities:<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Collaborate with and manage the design, game development and QA teams to bring the product from concept to launch<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Create wire-frames and give direction to the user interface team<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Coordinate the engineering team to manage day-to-day development issues – identify and drive creative solutions for any problems that arise<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Contribute to the strategy and business model for the gaming platform and take ownership of the roadmap – coordinate efforts across a virtual cross-functional team<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Reconcile business and creative needs to create an inspirational product with a compelling revenue model<\/p>\n

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 BA required – CS\/EE\/Engineering degree preferred<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Experience leading product management in consumer web or game development<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Social gaming, social media or social networking experience strongly preferred<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Passion for creating fun, compelling and addictive user experiences<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Familiarity with personal finance concepts<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Strong aptitude for determining the optimal way to position products in the market<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Open to feedback – ability to thrive in a fast paced, constantly iterating environment<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Strong organizational and analytical skills and attention to detail<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Comfortable in a start-up environment – can take ownership of the project and determine and execute next steps at each stage – previous start-up experience a strong plus\u2028\u2028Salary commensurate with experience<\/p>\n
