ETC is an after school program for high school students in Harlem. The program is looking to hire someone with an interest in the arts and the ways in which advances is technology serve the end of art in culture. Strong writing skills are a MUST (i.e. proper punctuation and grammar awareness). An interest in music and some programming abilities are a major plus. $20\/hr. Program Coordinator who is highly motivated, extremely organized with demonstrated commitment to the mission of ETC and the Harlem Children\u2019s Zone. The Assistant Program Coordinator (PC), under the supervision of the Program Director (PD) and Program Coordinator, provides effective leadership and support to advise and manage all programmatic components in organizational structure development, resource management and curriculum development as part of the executive team.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>A. Managerial\/Supervisory Support<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Foster a professional, high quality program that serve as models both within and outside of ETC<\/li>\n<li>Support the Recruitment and the Human Resources strategies with processes as needed<\/li>\n<li>Supervise and evaluate teaching artists, NEA artists-in-residence, consultants, interns, and volunteers.<\/li>\n<li>Provide leadership, management, and analysis necessary to support all processes within the Arts department<\/li>\n<li>Post job announcements<\/li>\n<li>Determine job descriptions and responsibilities<\/li>\n<li>Follow disciplinary procedures<\/li>\n<li>Suggest innovations to support programs<\/li>\n<li>Supervise the research and submission of youth work for distribution to festivals, workshops, media and youth orgs, special requests, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Be knowledgeable on Harlem Children\u2019s Zone policy and procedures and be able to communicate this information accurately to staff and students<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>B. Administrative Support<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Identify, maintain and distribute, as appropriate, relevant educational information and materials to Interns through orientations, multiple annual events, weekly talks, and other appropriate avenues<\/li>\n<li>Provide support in administering and executing high quality programming<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate logistical support for meetings, workshops, interviews, orientations and placements of NEA artist-in residence, consultants, Interns and Volunteers<\/li>\n<li>Draft correspondence, write grants prepare reports and proposals as needed and appropriate<\/li>\n<li>Maintain records, including a database, spreadsheets, and files of all arts related programming<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><em> <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>C. Program Planning and Support<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Organize and facilitate weekly arts staff meetings<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate all program components; visual arts, photography, performing arts, fashion, journalism, graphic design, video and multimedia<\/li>\n<li>Plan program structure including dates of orientation, staff training, program curriculum development, evaluations, etc<\/li>\n<li>Design curriculum for program with curriculum committee, Teaching Artists and senior staff<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Research curriculum resources and distribute to staff<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Co-manage Curriculum Committee to determine priorities and establish structure<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><em> <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>D. Training<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop staff training for new staff and current staff in coordination with the Executive Team<\/li>\n<li>Develop and facilitate staff training and development workshops<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><em> <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>E.
