Assistant Professor of Design – Specializing in Interaction\/Web Design<\/p>\n
The Visual Arts Department of the Mason Gross School of the Arts,<\/p>\n
Rutgers University, seeks an<\/p>\n
accomplished interaction designer specializing in dynamic, screen-<\/p>\n
based formats. Responsibilities<\/p>\n
include: teaching web and interaction design to undergraduates,<\/p>\n
developing the Design curriculum,<\/p>\n
serving on departmental and university committees, and continuing<\/p>\n
professional activity and\/or scholarly<\/p>\n
research.<\/p>\n
Qualifications:<\/p>\n
– MFA in Design or equivalent<\/p>\n
– Minimum of three years teaching experience of interaction, web,<\/p>\n
experience, and motion design and<\/p>\n
related programming at the college level<\/p>\n
– Demonstrated grounding in formal design principles, design processes<\/p>\n
and creative problem solving;<\/p>\n
knowledge of web\/interactive industry; expertise in creative programming<\/p>\n
– Demonstrated interest in and knowledge of critical theory as it<\/p>\n
pertains to web design and interactivity.<\/p>\n
– Professional recognition, such as publication and awards, for web\/<\/p>\n
interactive work<\/p>\n
