Working\u00a0collaboratively with writers, artists, and researchers,\u00a0Triple Canopy facilitates projects that engage the\u00a0Internet&#8217;s specific characteristics as a public forum and as a medium, one with its own evolving practices of\u00a0reading and viewing, economies of attention, and modes of interaction. In doing so, Triple Canopy is\u00a0charting an expanded field of publication, drawing on the history of print culture while acting as a hub for the\u00a0exploration of emerging forms and the public spaces constituted around them. Triple Canopy is a nonprofit<\/div>\n<div>\n<div>501(c)3 organization.<\/div>\n<div><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/div>\n<div><strong>Recent contributors<\/strong><\/div>\n<div>Mel Bochner, Daniel Bozhkov, Roberto Bola,\u00a0, Joshua Cohen, Teddy Cruz, Keren Cytter, Rivka Galchen,\u00a0Wayne Koestenbaum, Tom McCarthy, Matt Mullican, Ed Park, Erin Shirreff, Bob Stein, Eve Sussman, and\u00a0Leslie Thornton, among others<\/div>\n<div>\n<div><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/div>\n<div><strong>Volunteer and internship duties<\/strong><\/div>\n<div>Triple Canopy is seeking assistance with its editorial, website development, design, and public\u00a0programming. Volunteers and interns take an active role in the editorial and production work that goes into\u00a0each issue of the magazine, as well as assisting with the development\u00a0of public programs and the pursuit of\u00a0grants. Depending on a candidate&#8217;s interests and abilities, duties may include: soliciting, evaluating, and\u00a0coordinating the execution of articles and artist projects; taking part in editorial meetings; research\u00a0assistance; coordinating and publicizing events; image editing and formatting;\u00a0HTML, Flash, and Ruby on\u00a0Rails coding and design work; devising and implementing new features for the website. Most participants\u00a0contribute between 8 and 12 hours per\u00a0week, for the duration of a school semester or summer.
