The Digital Designer is able to translate business requirements, user needs, and technical capabilities into designs that are visually exciting, easy to use, and emotionally engaging.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Responsibilities<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Participate in product ideation and conceptual development.<\/li>\n<li>Create visual designs that effectively communicate product function and brand identity, including the design and production of screen layouts, color palettes, typography, user interface elements, and icons.<\/li>\n<li>Design motion graphics and animation effects.<\/li>\n<li>Produce wireframes, design specifications, storyboards, scenarios, and design prototypes.<\/li>\n<li>Successfully communicate conceptual ideas, detailed design, and design rationale, both verbally and visually.<\/li>\n<li>Participate as a contributor to an interdisciplinary team that includes creative leads, other designers, project management, business and brand strategists, and software developers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Challenges:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Working with tight deadlines &amp; strong requirements<\/li>\n<li>Rapid &amp; constant change<\/li>\n<li>Working with highly technical content<\/li>\n<li>Design as a collaboration activity among team, not in a silo<\/li>\n<li>Must be detail oriented &amp; able to keep multiple requirements in sync<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Required:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Strong Design skills including but not limited to: logo design, color theory, typography, composition, grids, layout<\/li>\n<li>Strong portfolio, preferably multivariate (packaging, print, web)<\/li>\n<li>Be able to explain &amp; defend design decisions. (IE. I used this color because &#8230;)<\/li>\n<li>Experience with wireframes &amp; rapid prototyping.<\/li>\n<li>Working knowledge of how to design with\/for web standards<\/li>\n<li>Working knowledge of Adobe Graphic design packages, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign etc.<\/li>\n<li>Interest in information architecture, Marketing, UX, HCI.<\/li>\n<li>Eagerness to learn<\/li>\n<li>Self-motivated, speedy, well-organized<\/li>\n<li>Flexible and team-oriented<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Pluses (in order):<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Practicing personal Kaizen<\/li>\n<li>Contributions\/memberships to sites like Forrst, <a href=\"http:\/\/sitepoint.com\/\">sitepoint.com<\/a>, 99designs, sortfolio &amp; the likes.<\/li>\n<li>Understand the elements of effective interactive design<\/li>\n<li>A blog\/website showing passion for the art &amp; science of graphic design and showing his point of view.<\/li>\n<li>Expert understanding of CSS, HTML, Javascript &amp; the semantic web<\/li>\n<li>Successful experience launching Web-based projects<\/li>\n<li>Working knowledge of audio &amp; video editing software.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Please include an url with your online portfolio.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">ABOUT HEDGEYE RISK MANAGEMENT<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Hedgeye Risk Management is the leading real-time research firm.
