WHO WE\u00a0ARE LOOKING FOR<\/span><\/span>:

The\u00a0internship will\u00a0involve hands on experience managing and improving a robust\u00a0content driven\u00a0website. It will be an opportunity learn and hone creative and\u00a0technical skills\u00a0including: HTML, CSS, motion graphics, video encoding, graphic
\ndesign and more.\u00a0Interns will get to use their artistic talents to create\u00a0innovative work that\u00a0will be seen by many. <\/span>Candidates\u00a0should have a strong interest in social justice media and\u00a0enthusiasm to learn.<\/span><\/p>\n

WHAT WE\u00a0REQUIRE<\/span><\/span>:<\/span><\/p>\n

Fluent\u00a0in navigating social-media, and other web 2.0 sites.\u00a0Some\u00a0experience with HTML, and CSS would be helpful. <\/span>A
\ndesire to take initiative in tasks when opportunity permits.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The\u00a0internship will\u00a0involve hands on experience creating social justice video for\u00a0our online\u00a0platform. By participating in video shoots and editing segments\u00a0the position\u00a0will provide a valuable learning experience and a chance to\u00a0build a reel with\u00a0professional content. <\/span>The\u00a0position will have\u00a0creative input and work directly with the Director of New Media\u00a0in generating\u00a0dynamic video for the web.<\/p>\n

WHAT WE <\/span><\/span>REQUIRE<\/span><\/span>:<\/span><\/p>\n

Strong\u00a0interest in producing short, smart, and timely video for web\u00a0distribution. <\/span>A\u00a0strong desire to make videos that can be used to influence\u00a0change <\/span>Film\u00a0or Video production experience is preferred. <\/span>Familiarity\u00a0with Final Cut Pro.<\/span><\/p>\n

Up and\u00a0coming community\u00a0leaders with a passion for social justice media and enthusiasm\u00a0to learn. Areas\u00a0of focus: Research story ideas, b-roll acquisition, some\u00a0assisted editing,\u00a0administrative and production support in the field and in\u00a0studio.<\/span><\/p>\n

WHAT WE\u00a0REQUIRE<\/span>:<\/span><\/p>\n

Ability to\u00a0communicate\u00a0concisely; computer literate (word processing and data entry\u00a0helpful).\u00a0Excellent organizational skills; detail oriented. <\/span>A good\u00a0sense of humor,\u00a0reliable and remarkable work ethic. Insightful <\/strong>knowledge of political, health, social, economic and cultural <\/strong>issues facing <\/strong>lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender <\/span><\/strong>community is a plus but not required. <\/strong>Strong\u00a0commitment to social\u00a0justice and excellent television programming.<\/p>\n
