\n>> Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

\n>> Ensure effectiveness and security of systems and applications
\n>> Manage Storycorps’ current technology
\n>> Develop a strong disaster recovery plan with appropriate
\n>> redundancy systems
\n>> Maintain accurate and current records for hardware inventory,
\n>> software licensing, network configuration, problem resolution, and
\n>> repair work
\n>> Manage structured cabling system and physical network and all
\n>> components of network infrastructure
\n>> Manage all IT and third party software application support
\n>> Research, and implement new technology projects to meet StoryCorps
\n>> goals and objectives
\n>> Create, document, and enforce IT policies and procedures
\n>> Prepare and maintain procedure manuals and documentation for
\n>> internal use
\n>> Provide excellent, friendly customer support
\n>> Manage technology helpdesk to ensure IT problems are properly
\n>> documented, handled efficiently, and reported on accurately
\n>> Develop budgets and monitor expenditures
\n>> Train new hires on StoryCorps technology
\n>> Assist department staff with vendor relations
\n>> Supervise IT staff
\n>> Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications:
\n>>
\n>> Minimum 5 years experience in IT environment
\n>> Impeccable attention to detail
\n>> Availability for infrequent after-hours emergency maintenance
\n>> Experience in managing staff
\n>> Excellent interpersonal, communication, and public speaking skills
\n>> Solid organizational skills and attention to detail
\n>> Bachelor’s degree
\n>> Extensive experience with Mac OS X desktop clients
\n>> Solid experience with Mac Os X Server, Windows or Unix administration
\n>> General Network Administration skills
\n>> Strong background in TCP\/IP, Firewalls, Routing, and DNS
\n>> Excellent troubleshooting and creative problem-solving abilities
\n>> Ability to explain technical concepts in non-technical terms to
\n>> staff and customers
\n>> Strong troubleshooting methodology and analytical skills
\n>> IT Architecture Design and Implementation
\n>> Previous experience with managing technical projects and vendors
\n>> Preferred:
\n>>
\n>> Experience with Storage Area Networks configuration and setup
\n>> desired.
\n>> Experience in a large scale enterprise environment
\n>> Network Engineering; advanced networks (including Layers 2, 4-7,
\n>> and content switching) and server administration, or equivalent
\n>> experience
\n>> Knowledge of PC Sound Editing tools and processes
