Telefonica I+D (TID) is the research and development company of Telefonica. Telefonica is an internationally integrated Telco who is ranked number 1 based on size of customer base. TID was founded in 1988 in Madrid, and now has research centers in Grenada, Barcelona, London and Brazil. TID is committed to producing innovative products and services that make a difference. During the last several years, TID has embraced innovation methodologies to drive customer centric innovation. These methodologies include generating customer insights, concept ideations and evaluations, rapid prototyping, agile development processes and on going engagement with customers.<\/p>\n

The role of interaction and visual designers, design thinkers and researchers has become critical to the successes of TID products and services. In 2011, we continue growing the User Experience Design team with top design and research talent.<\/p>\n

Opportunity<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/strong><\/p>\n

We are looking for a highly motivated, talented and passionate Associate Visual Designer to join the team of Interaction Designers, Visual Designers and Researchers in Telefonica I+D (Madrid, Spain).<\/p>\n

Designers and researchers work in collaborative teams with project leads, strategists, engineers and domain experts to generate innovative concepts and solutions for multiple screens: TV, PC, mobile and more.<\/p>\n

For some projects, Associate Visual Designer will collaborate with researchers on generating insights, participating in ideation sessions with interdisciplinary teams, and capturing product ideas via storyboards and sketches.<\/p>\n

The individual will need to be able to illustrate concepts in real time using narrative, sketches, and prototypes. They will need to be able to generate multiple visual directions and languages for a product or service idea, collaborating with the interaction designer and project lead to find the optimal brand expression. They need to work within Global UX guidelines while also expressing the product experience.<\/p>\n

Once a product or service is in development, the individual needs to work closely with the engineering team to generate appropriate guidelines, assets, and ensure quality of implementation.<\/p>\n

Ideally the Associate Visual Designer can also generate video concept clips and animations to explain a concept story. They need to be able to support the creation of reports and documents, and contribute to Telefonica\u2019s Global UX guidelines.<\/p>\n

Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Collaborate within larger project team to deliver innovative design solutions.<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Create more than one design direction for specific product solution, and work through design language in detail.<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Create guidelines and specifications.<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Support report generation.<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Produce graphic assets for implementation<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Create story board sketches and life-sketches.<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Collaborate with researchers and interaction designers during insights&ideation sessions, and brainstorming.<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Work closely with engineering teams in an Agile framework to bring implement optimally performing graphics across multiple screens.<\/p>\n
