Building on the PhilaPlace (http:\/\/www.philaplace.org)\u00a0platform, this intern will engage in adapting the site for mobile visitors, enhancing the project\u00a0through geolocation, app development, and potentially augmented reality. This is a great\u00a0opportunity to gain experience working with an award-winning design and development team to\u00a0build real world mobile-enabled websites and mobile applications. Other current development\u00a0efforts include mobile games, several large Drupal-based websites, interactive timelines, and\u00a0Flash-based learning activities.<\/p>\n<p>Candidate should possess 1-2 years progression towards a degree in computer science,\u00a0computer engineering or equivalent degree as well as knowledge of one or more of the following:<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 XHTML \/ CSS implementation<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Javascript<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 PHP \/ MySQL<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 iPhone \/ iOS application development (optional)<\/p>\n<p>Please note that this is a development position requiring no graphic design expertise.<\/p>\n<p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Day to day responsibilities include working with our design and development team to add\u00a0additional functionality to create a generic version of the PhilaPlace website.
