Under the leadership of Intel Fellow Genevieve Bell, the Interaction &amp; Experience Research Lab will continue to evolve Intel\u2019s long-standing emphasis on the importance of understanding (and designing for) the human experience in technological innovation. Here at Intel, we are tremendously excited about this unique opportunity to lead a major corporate technology research lab from a human-centered perspective. We are looking for a select few, exceptionally talented folks who share that excitement to join our team.<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>We are now accepting applications for an interaction\/experience design and prototyping intern who is currently enrolled a bachelor\u2019s, master\u2019s, or PhD program and matriculating towards a degree. The successful candidate will be joining a world-class team of industry researchers and designers with a wide variety of disciplinary backgrounds \u2013 including social scientists, design researchers, interaction designers, human factors engineers, strategic planners, and technology innovators.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>If you are passionate about making ideas tangible, have a strong interaction, design, and prototyping background, get excited about user-centeredness in the design process, have an appreciation for technology and find creative inspiration in the constraints imposed by real-world business demands\u2026. Compensation is competitive. We are a team that believes we achieve our best results when we work together, so candidates must be willing to relocate to the Santa Clara, California area for the duration of the internship. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Participating in collaborative synthesis of research data; translating consumer research into design implications\/requirements<\/div>\n<div>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Developing\/visualizing product concepts, interaction schemes, and user experiences (and use cases) using wireframes, storyboards, scenarios, etc.<\/div>\n<div>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Designing\/building conceptual and working experience prototypes (software and hardware)<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Contributing to the development of user experience strategy, positioning projects within a clearly articulated context of Intel\u2019s business, industry\/ecosystem developments, and emerging consumer behaviors<\/div>\n<div>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Presenting design concepts to audiences with a wide variety of (mostly technical) backgrounds<\/div>\n<div><strong> <\/strong><\/div>\n<p><strong>The ideal candidate will also demonstrate the following:<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Strong analytical and logical problem-solving skills paired with wild creativity<\/div>\n<div><strong>\u2022 <\/strong><strong>Rapid prototyping ability<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><\/div>\n<div><strong> <\/strong><\/div>\n<div>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<strong>Excellent written\/verbal communication and presentation skills<\/strong><\/div>\n<div><strong> <\/strong><\/div>\n<div>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<strong>Enthusiasm and confidence; ability to lead projects independently with a good deal of self-direction<\/strong><\/div>\n<div><strong> <\/strong><\/div>\n<div><strong>\u2022 <\/strong><strong>Ability to balance personal interests and design sensibilities with the objectives of research colleagues and the needs of the business<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><\/div>\n<div><strong> <\/strong><\/div>\n<div>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<strong>Willingness and ability to travel<\/strong><\/div>\n<div><strong> <\/strong><\/div>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You must possess the minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position.
