The ultimate role of the Technology Lead is to assure the successful execution of the company\u2019s business mission through development and deployment of The Megawatt Hour, Inc.\u2019s web presence. \u00a0The initial responsibility is through June 2011, with the opportunity to extend to a permanent position.<\/p>\n

Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
The Technology Lead will be instrumental at a critical stage in the Company\u2019s growth. \u00a0We have built a beta site, and we need help stabilizing it and planning for additional market development. Ultimately, the Technology Lead will help \u00a0to develop and then scale a very dynamic and growing organization. \u00a0This person should have deep technology knowledge and be able to evaluate and identify appropriate technology platforms for the delivery of The Megawatt Hour, Inc.\u2019s products. \u00a0All of the participants in the current business are \u201cdoers\u201d\u2014responsible for concrete and meaningful contributions, as well as superior leadership efforts.<\/p>\n
The Technology Lead should be able to make technological assessments and evaluations, identify appropriate strategies for building and executing on the business plan, hiring top-notch talent, and should also be adept at writing and implementing code.<\/p>\n
Required Skills:
\n– Python experience, preferably using Django to serve websites
\n-java_script experience, preferably writing complex ajax sites
\n– jQuery, CSS, and Twisted experience preferred
\n– Prior design responsibility preferred
\nExperience \u00a0and portfolio of online service delivery\/products
\nStrong aptitude for determining the optimal way to use cutting edge technology in our market place
\nWe are looking for an enthusiastic, performance-driven self-starter and team player<\/p>\n
Possible additional responsibilities post June 2011:
\nBuild and manage a development team and oversee development & project management
\nCollaborate with the founders to assess and recommend technologies and support company organizational needs.
\nPrevious start-up experience is a strong plus
\nBA\/BS degree \u2013 CS\/EE\/Engineering degree preferred<\/p>\n
