Working<\/div>\n<div>collaboratively with writers, artists, and researchers, Triple Canopy facilitates projects that engage the<\/div>\n<div>Internet\u02bcs specific characteristics as a public forum and as a medium, one with its own evolving practices of<\/div>\n<div>reading and viewing, economies of attention, and modes of interaction. In doing so, Triple Canopy is charting<\/div>\n<div>an expanded field of publication, drawing on the history of print culture while acting as a hub for the<\/div>\n<div>exploration of emerging forms and the public spaces constituted around them. Triple Canopy is a nonprofit<\/div>\n<div>501(c)3 organization.<\/div>\n<div><strong>Recent contributors<\/strong><\/div>\n<div>Mel Bochner, Daniel Bozhkov, Roberto Bola\u00f1o, Joshua Cohen, Teddy Cruz, Keren Cytter, Rivka Galchen,<\/div>\n<div>Wayne Koestenbaum, Tom McCarthy, Matt Mullican, Ed Park, Erin Shirreff, Bob Stein, Eve Sussman, and<\/div>\n<div>Leslie Thornton, among others<\/div>\n<div><strong>Volunteer and internship duties<\/strong><\/div>\n<div>Triple Canopy is seeking assistance with its editorial, website development, design, and public<\/div>\n<div>programming. Volunteers and interns take an active role in the editorial and production work that goes into<\/div>\n<div>each issue of the magazine, as well as assisting with the development of public programs and the pursuit of<\/div>\n<div>grants. Depending on a candidate&#8217;s interests and abilities, duties may include: soliciting, evaluating, and<\/div>\n<div>coordinating the execution of articles and artist projects; taking part in editorial meetings; research<\/div>\n<div>assistance; coordinating and publicizing events; image editing and formatting; HTML, Flash, and Ruby on<\/div>\n<div>Rails coding and design work; devising and implementing new features for the website. Most participants<\/div>\n<div>contribute between 8 and 12 hours per week, for the duration of a school semester or summer.
