{"id":6004,"date":"2011-04-13T12:11:15","date_gmt":"2011-04-13T16:11:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/itp.nyu.edu\/opportunities\/?p=6004"},"modified":"2011-04-13T12:11:15","modified_gmt":"2011-04-13T16:11:15","slug":"intern-graphic-design-and-events-coord-for-broadcastr","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/itp.nyu.edu\/opportunities\/2011\/04\/13\/intern-graphic-design-and-events-coord-for-broadcastr\/","title":{"rendered":"INTERN: Graphic design and events coord for Broadcastr"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Two internships at Broadcastr: Graphic Design and Events Coordinating<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Graphic Designer<\/strong><br \/>\nBrooklyn tech-startup Broadcastr is looking for a graphic design genius to join our team as a summer intern. \u00a0We need someone who can:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>design graphics and logos,<\/li>\n<li>layout marketing proposals and press releases,<\/li>\n<li>sometimes create powerpoint presentations,<\/li>\n<li>design flyers and other collateral for events, and<\/li>\n<li>help us make everything we do look better.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We\u2019ll ask you to turn work around on very tight timelines, but you\u2019ll have lots of creative control over the execution. \u00a0Most projects will focus on marketing and communications, but there will be plenty of opportunities for very creative projects that will be seen by thousands of people, especially for our summer events.<\/p>\n<p>This is an opportunity to join a fast-growing tech startup. One month after launch, Broadcastr has been featured in The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, and Time Out New York \u2013 and that\u2019s just print. We can\u2019t pay our interns, but we provide great references, and we\u2019ll never ask you to get coffee.<\/p>\n<p>To apply, send an email to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:matthew@broadcastr.com\">matthew@broadcastr.com<\/a> with \u201cDesign Intern\u201d in the subject line. \u00a0We\u2019d like to see a resume and a portfolio; we don\u2019t want to read a formal cover letter, but we do want to hear a bit about your availability, your interests and tastes, and what you expect from us.<\/p>\n<p>Looking forward to meeting you!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Events Coordinator<\/strong><br \/>\nBrooklyn tech-startup Broadcastr is looking for an outgoing and organized intern to help coordinate our long list of summer events.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ll ask you to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strategize events that reach large audiences<\/li>\n<li>Get fliers and swag printed<\/li>\n<li>Work with vendors, donors and partners to nail down details<\/li>\n<li>Oversee collaborations<\/li>\n<li>Attend the events in a professional capacity<\/li>\n<li>Represent Broadcastr with enthusiasm to attendees, partners and vendors.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We\u2019re currently planning or participating in a long list of awesome events.\u00a0 You\u2019ll need to be available to work at most of the events, some of which will happen on weekends.
