Our client, SYPartners, is a top tier consultancy that works with CEOs and senior business leaders to design their future. SYPartners is undergoing an expansion in their interaction design department based in their New York City office under the innovative and talented leadership of Brian Goldston. \u00a0\u00a0In addition to the core consulting work for which SYPartners is known, Brian is leading an initiative to develop a unique set of digital applications across mobile, tablets, desktops and physical+digital environments that are deeply human, radically simple, and lead people to see, believe, think, and act differently.<\/p>\n

We need a strong interaction designer who can design human-centered experiences. This role encompasses research, developing specifications, personas, use cases, workflow diagrams , wireframes, product design and prototyping. [please see job description attached below]<\/p>\n

We also need a talented visual interaction designer who can focus on designing visually arresting, emotionally compelling experiences across all interfaces, mobile, web, desktop, environments and other emerging platforms. [please see job description attached below]<\/p>\n

THE OPPORTUNITY<\/p>\n

We are looking for exceptional interaction designers. \u00a0Activities will include:<\/p>\n

\u2022 Designing mobile, web, desktop-based applications, and digital+physical environments (research, personas, storyboards, workflow diagrams, wireframes, design specifications)<\/p>\n

\u2022 Creating a uniquely-SYP interaction pattern library for apps and digital environments (codified visual and interaction patterns that are not your usual menus, lists, buttons, or UI elements)<\/p>\n

\u2022 Advancing the art and science of engagement at scale (research, prototypes, strategies and design principles for intimate, human, meaningful engagement with a potentially massive number of participants who are distributed)<\/p>\n

\u2022 Developing products that help people see, believe, think, and act differently (product strategy\/concepts, prototypes, final products)<\/p>\n

\u2022 Exploring the ability of digital tools and technology to transform businesses, brands, and culture<\/p>\n

Help design and build (to name a few):<\/p>\n

\u2022 Gesture-based apps (iPad and other tablets, interactive walls, etc.) that activate group participation (in a meeting, large scale event, and beyond) and help people work collaboratively in strategically focused ways<\/p>\n

\u2022 Highly visual, intuitive, delightful digital tools that help people learn through doing (experiential learning)<\/p>\n

\u2022 Digital games that deeply engage our clients\u2014and their employees and customers\u2014in an idea or initiative<\/p>\n

\u2022 A modular system of rich-media experiences and tools to help clients tell their brand story<\/p>\n

\u2022 Powerful, immersive, integrated digital+physical environments that change how our clients think, invoke debate, and tell stories<\/p>\n

Visual Interaction Designer<\/p>\n

The Visual Interaction Designer creates unified visual, interactive\u00a0systems that delight, inform, and engage people\u2014and those people\u00a0with each other.<\/p>\n

The Visual Interaction Designer intensely focuses on designing\u00a0visually-arresting, emotionally-compelling experiences across mobile,\u00a0web, desktop applications and digital+physical environments.<\/p>\n

On one side, you draw on your love of typography, color, graphic\u00a0design, and information design to distill complex problems into their\u00a0simplest, most compelling, and delightful visual form. \u00a0On the other\u00a0side, you think in all three dimensions\u2014from the height and width\u00a0of small mobile devices or large-scale interactive walls to the depth\u00a0created by dynamic, interactive information spaces. \u00a0You consider the\u00a0behaviors of a visual system (i.e. how a button works) as much as you\u00a0consider the visual elegance of the system (i.e. how a button looks).<\/p>\n

You recognize patterns in our work\u2014the intent of our work, the\u00a0interactions we create and shape\u2014and establish visual guidelines\u00a0and expressions of those interactions (i.e. pattern libraries and design\u00a0specifications). You are continually asking\u2014and answering\u2014the\u00a0question, \u201cWhat does an SYP application uniquely look like, feel like,\u00a0behave like?\u201d<\/p>\n

You have deep empathy and aspiration for those you design for\u2014and\u00a0those you design with. \u00a0You are highly collaborative, working side-byside with other designers, strategists, developers, production artists,\u00a0and project managers.<\/p>\n

Responsibilities<\/p>\n

_ Design high-fidelity, interfaces for mobile, web, desktop, environments,\u00a0and other emerging platforms.<\/p>\n

_ Create a uniquely-SYP visual design system and pattern library for our\u00a0digital products and services.<\/p>\n

_ Create wireframes, storyboards, and high-fidelity design prototypes.<\/p>\n

_ Communicate research findings, conceptual ideas, technical concepts,\u00a0detailed design, and design with clarity and coherence.<\/p>\n

_ Work closely with development teams\u2014 from prototypes to packaged\u00a0products\u2014to ensure that design specifications are implemented.<\/p>\n
