As we continue to expand into new showrooms, develop new products, and build our growing base of\u00a0loyal customers this spring, we are looking to add a Technology Intern at our corporate headquarters\u00a0and flagship showroom in the Flatiron District.<\/p>\n
Role & Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Alton Lane, like many successful startups, is both fast-paced and highly rewarding. No two days are ever\u00a0the same. As an intern at Alton Lane, you will learn how to work within an entrepreneurial start-up\u00a0environment. You will learn e-commerce technology from the ground up. Our Technology\/DeveloperIntern will have the opportunity to work across all of the Alton Lane systems and make a significant\u00a0impact from day 1.<\/p>\n
You will be tasked with a variety of assignments, so the ability to multi-task is critical. Sample\u00a0responsibilities could include:<\/p>\n
\uf0b7 Work on strategy of building out best-in-class technology platforms<\/p>\n
\uf0b7 Making code tweaks and incremental changes to our website: \u00a0www.altonlane.com<\/p>\n
\uf0b7 Writing complex SQL queries<\/p>\n
\uf0b7 Doing analysis and creating metrics to improve internal operations<\/p>\n
Application Requirements<\/p>\n
\uf0b7 Progress towards BS or MS degree in Computer Science or related field<\/p>\n
\uf0b7 Exceptional programming skills in PHP<\/p>\n
\uf0b7 Demonstrated experience developing web sites using HTML, Javascript, MySQL and CSS<\/p>\n
\uf0b7 Extensive experience writing complex SQL queries<\/p>\n
\uf0b7 Magento and VBA experience a plus<\/p>\n
\uf0b7 Python\/Django experience a plus<\/p>\n
\uf0b7 Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and Flash a plus<\/p>\n
\uf0b7 Exceptional eye to detail, a humble attitude, and the ability to drive results<\/p>\n
\uf0b7 Desire to expand with one of the fastest growing brands in the US<\/p>\n
Compensation<\/p>\n
We provide each intern with a small clothing allowance and subway card to reimburse to and from\u00a0work. There is an incredible opportunity to impress us with your attitude, your work ethic and your\u00a0results. This internship will last through August, with the potential to extend into a full time opportunity\u00a0based on ability to drive results.<\/p>\n
