Sulia is a realtime media company dedicated  to growing a distributed news and entertainment system, and building mobile products that let people across the globe connect with their interests  and personal experts.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Sulia is based in New York City. The company  is backed by leading media and technology investors, including FirstMark  Capital, Village Ventures, IA Capital Partners, Founder Collective, Ron Conway,  and Mark Gerson.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Head of Design and UX will be a key  member of the senior management team.\u00a0 Using  his\/her innate passion, creative talent and focus on user-centered design, this individual will translate  user needs and motivations into beautiful, compelling and original design concepts  and interfaces.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The ideal  candidate will advocate for the user and design interfaces that are intuitive,  elegantly simple, and enjoyable, but will also have the judgment and courage to  propose solutions never built before and go against convention when appropriate.<\/p>\n<p>In the coming months Sulia will launch new products that will present realtime information, and engage users in  their interests, in entirely new ways. \u00a0These are major consumer-facing products and we are looking for someone who  wants to lead the industry in crafting how realtime consumption experiences should be, and someone interested in  working with a proven, energetic and ambitious team.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications\/Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>7+ years of UX experience at consumer  Internet company, including at least one year in mobile.<\/li>\n<li>A portfolio of work demonstrating experience in the design of complex interfaces and  workflows across multiple platforms, including mobile.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with mixed media\/content  creation, consumption and personalization.<\/li>\n<li>Works  well with editors and engineers, and appreciates their ideas and input.<\/li>\n<li>A strong point of view, creative ideas and the ability to promote conceptual thinking  among the team<\/li>\n<li>Passion for  understanding the motivations of users, and how to translate them into innovative, elegant and practical on-screen flows.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with games and virtual rewards a  plus.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Contact:<\/p>\n<div><strong>Michael  Rose<\/strong><\/div>\n<div><a href=\"mailto:michael@sulia.com\" target=\"_blank\">michael@sulia.com<\/a><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sulia (beta.sulia.com) &#8212; Global mobile realtime media.
