ESI Design is a NYC based exhibit design firm. We create both small & large scale visitor experiences, combining different media including print, interactive and physical. Our projects range from cultural institutions to corporate environments, all meant to engage, educate & inspire the audience.<\/p>\n
ESI is looking for a Freelance Interaction Designer to work as part of a cross-disciplinary team developing experience designs for an international corporate client. The Interaction Designer will be responsible for looking at existing communication systems within the company, (both internet and intranet) and help develop a high level strategy that offers alternatives and improvements to the
\ncommunication structure and activity between the multiple departments of the company.<\/p>\n
The Interaction Designer should have a working knowledge of networked communication systems at an enterprise level, and have a command of documenting the user experience for various personas and situations within that system. Knowledge of web-based collaborative and social media platforms, current and emerging technical options, and an understanding of organizational communication needs are required.<\/p>\n
The goal of this project is to develop a series of high-level solutions and directions that can be pursued in an actual design process. The team will present the client with a report containing a catalog of ideas and strategies that the client can decide to pursue and develop.<\/p>\n
This will be a three-month contract position to start, but with the possibility of longer-term employment should the project continue.
\nResponsibilities:
\n\u00b7 Concept design, overall brainstorming and concepts
\n\u00b7 Facilitation of design process,
\n\u00b7 Preparation of design documentation and presentation materials from early concept through UX and IA documents.
\nQualifications:
\n\u00b7 Strong experience in leading and facilitating the design process.
\n\u00b7 Design documentation skills, including wireframing, use cases, writing, drafting\/diagramming, creating flowcharts and storyboarding.
\n\u00b7 Understanding of digital production techniques.
\n\u00b7 Good presentation skills.
\n\u00b7 Excellent communications skills and demonstrated ability to work well with team members.
\n\u00b7 Experience with development of internet\/intranet systems at a corporate\/enterprise level.
\n\u00b7 3-5 years experience in the field.<\/p>\n
