I’m seeking someone to assist me with some projects we are developing for The History Channel and A&E, including a location based iPhone App.
\nThis is a freelance, full time position (= 35 hours\/week)
\nWe farm out development, so no programming skills are required. It’s somewhere between entry level and manager and ideal for people interested in developing technology products for a media company.<\/p>\n

Job Description:<\/p>\n
Seeking product specialist to assist Director of Advanced TV & Emerging Media for A&E Television Networks, including The History Channel, A&E, and Biography Channel. Areas of product development include:<\/p>\n
\u2022\tiTV \u2013 Interactive television applications for Set Top Boxes
\n\u2022\tMobile \u2013 Mobile applications and WAP sites
\n\u2022\tGames – On line, flash based games for AETN websites: History.com, AETV.com, Biography.com
\n\u2022\tLocation Based Services \u2013 Extending historical content into location aware devices & platforms<\/p>\n
Responsibilities include the coordination and assistance in:<\/p>\n
\u2022\tPreparation of RFP\u2019s, creative briefs, presentations & prototypes
\n\u2022\tOrganization of database of content assets for Location Based Services
\n\u2022\tProduction schedules for product development
\n\u2022\tLiason with external vendors & internal stakeholders on various product initiatives
\n\u2022\tMonitoring Statements of Work (SOW\u2019s) & deliverables
\n\u2022\tGathering of assets\/elements during development and production.<\/p>\n
Experience & Skill set:<\/p>\n
Interest in, familiarity with, and\/or experience in following areas:
\n\u2022\tiTV & Set Top Box technology (OCAP vs EBIF)
\n\u2022\tGame development & game design
\n\u2022\tMobile applications: iPhone, mobile WEB
\n\u2022\tDatabase development
\n\u2022\tLocation Based Technologies \u2013 Mapping & Navigation, geo-coded content
\n\u2022\tSkills desired:
\no\tMicrosoft Office \u2013 Word, PowerPoint, Excel
\no\tDesign- Photoshop, illustrator, Flash (not mandatory)
\no\tKnowledge of basic programming concepts & web technologies \u2013 HTML, XML, Actionscript.<\/p>\n
