User Experience Designer<\/p>\n
Job Summary
\nUser Experience Designers are responsible for the navigation, organization, interaction design,
\nand business\/user process engineering for leading-edge Web solutions, software, and mobile
\ndevices\/applications. You will apply user-centered design methods to translate user needs,
\nbusiness objectives, and technology capabilities into world-class user experiences for leading
\ncompanies. You will be expected to work directly with clients and drive a point of view for the
\nend-user facing solution.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Assess existing sites\/properties for usefulness, usability, visual design, content, and
\nbranding with minimal oversight.
\nDevelop evaluation criteria based on industry standards and best practices,
\nmodifying these to fit the specific objectives and needs of the project; rate and rank
\nsites based on findings.
\nLead participatory design\/user testing sessions (with oversight and direction)
\nand identify and document meaningful patterns from the findings; provide
\nrecommendations to the client\/internal team based on findings.
\nUtilize low-fidelity, medium-fidelity, and high-fidelity prototypes across the different
\nstages of the design.
\nPrepare, conduct, and analyze behavioral in-context research events into meaningful
\nthemes, categories, and visually compelling frameworks and behavioral models
\n(with guidance and oversight).
\nIdentify opportunities to create business value and improve the user experience,
\nbased on user research; organize opportunities into visually compelling matrices or
\nmaps.
\nExecute participatory requirements gathering sessions and participate in debrief
\nsessions (with guidance and oversight); create feature lists from sessions.
\nConduct, prepare notes, and analyze stakeholder interviews to understand key
\nsuccess factors for a project or pursuit.
\nLead development of personas\/segmentations based on research findings; integrate
\npersonas\/segmentations with related deliverables such as opportunity maps.
\nCreate engaging scenarios and develop frameworks describing key aspects of a
\nproposed experience, and how it reconciles business and user needs.
\nCreate visually compelling representations of the solution’s high-level interaction,
\nnavigation, and organization design (i.e., concept models).
\nDevelop visual representations of the organizational structure, hierarchy, and
\nrelationships of screens in a site (i.e., site maps) as well as the interactions between
\nthe user and the functional modules in the solution.
\nDevelop screen details (i.e., wireframes) depicting all elements on a unique screen
\ntype, including the content, functional, and navigation specifications.
\nEstimate, plan, and lead tracks of Information Architecture work in the development<\/p>\n
of a quality solution; track progress according to the plan created for the project
\n(e.g., conduct design reviews and creative status meetings as needed).
\nJob Requirements*
\nBachelor’s degree preferred in design-related discipline: Interaction, Information or
\nInterface design; Human-Computer Interaction; Design Planning; Graphic Design;
\nCommunications.
\n1-3 years of industry experience.
\nCandidates must be versed in user-centered design methods and techniques.
\nProficient to expert in: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Visio, Microsoft Office.
\nExcellent analytical and process-oriented skills.
\nExcellent verbal and written skills.
\nExperience in working on multiple projects simultaneously.
\nAbility to work collaboratively on multi-disciplinary teams.
\nPrior experience in a consulting firm or agency preferred.
\nPrior experience in UI design for mobile devices a plus.<\/p>\n
