The Web Developer will work in ITS and create web sites, apps, widgets,  and systems\u00a0for\u00a0NYU.edu\u00a0in collaboration with the Digital  Communications group.We do a lot of  developing in the Adobe\/Day CQ5 web CMS environment, and we will provide  Adobe\/Day CQ  training to the person we hire.<\/p>\n<p>The skills we are  looking for (and will help develop in this candidate) are:<\/p>\n<p>Object-Oriented Java  programming and JSP<br \/>\nOSGi framework<br \/>\njQuery library<br \/>\nApache Sling  framework<br \/>\nExt JS framework<br \/>\nJCR (Java Content Repository) (e.g.,  Apache Jackrabbit)<br \/>\nJSTL (JavaServer Pages Standard Tag Language)<\/p>\n<p>In addition, we do  some non-CMS web development in a LAMP environment, so skills like  Linux,  Apache, MySQL, PHP, Perl, Oracle, and XML\/RSS are good ones to have.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Since  demand for people with CQ5 skills are rising (see this chart  <a href=\"http:\/\/www.indeed.com\/jobanalytics\/jobtrends?q=cq5&amp;l=\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/www.indeed.com\/jobanalytics\/jobtrends?q=cq5&amp;l=<\/a>)  this is a  great opportunity for a smart, driven developer to jump-start their  career.<\/p>\n<p>Interested  candidates contact us via <a href=\"http:\/\/web.jobs\/\" target=\"_blank\">web.jobs<\/a>@<a href=\"http:\/\/nyu.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\">nyu.edu<\/a><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We are looking to hire a web developer here in the Web Team in NYU ITS to fill out our web team.
