An MTV Networks and Viacom Corporate internship allows college students to work in an innovative, progressive, fast paced and professional environment. Students are exposed to all levels of the organization, which has proven to be an invaluable experience to individuals interested in pursuing a career in the entertainment industry. Our program runs during the spring, summer and fall semesters. Interns are placed in every channel and corporate department within MTV Networks and Viacom Corporate. <\/p>\n

Students must be registered to receive college credit for the internship.<\/p>\n

Below is a sampling of some of our Information Technology & Digital Internship openings at Viacom and MTV Networks.<\/p>\n

Information Technology internships include but are not limited to the following groups:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • The MTVN IS&T Online Database Administration group is responsible for supporting databases for all MTV websites.<\/li>\n
  • The MTVN IS&T Computer Education group provides training on new technologies rolled out to the organization, including Microsoft products, proprietary applications and Design & Graphic applications.<\/li>\n
  • The MTVN IS&T Desktop Support group supports desktop users and all user technologies.<\/li>\n
  • The MTVN Entertainment Division IS&T group builds and maintains all of the sites for the Entertainment division – comedycentral.com, thedailyshow.com, colbertnation.com, jokes.com, southparkstudios.com, spike.com, ultimatefighter.com, blogs etc.<\/li>\n
  • The MTVN IS&T Interactive Services Quality Assurance group is responsible for testing multimedia websites and digital music projects for all of MTV Networks digital properties.<\/li>\n
  • The MTVN Mobile and Syndication Technology group builds and operates the technology behind mobile websites, mobile messaging, mobile applications and online\/mobile video syndication across the MTV Networks family of brands.\u00a0 The group is part of the MTVN Digital Platforms team.<\/li>\n
  • The MTVN IS&T Application Development group develops and supports custom software solutions mainly for the finance and legal departments.\u00a0 They also provide level one support for multiple business applications within those internal departments.<\/li>\n
  • The MTVN Global Digital Media group is\u00a0 responsible for software development for all digital properties.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Please note that in order to be a Viacom\/MTVN intern, you must meet ALL of the criteria below to be eligible for the program:<\/p>\n

      \n
    • You must be registered to receive college credit (i.e., internship class, seminar or transcript notation) with your college or university for the semester you are interning, and must provide official documentation on school letterhead confirming this information upon acceptance of the internship.<\/li>\n
    • If your school does not offer college credit, then you must be registered for an independent study project directly related to the internship.<\/li>\n
    • The program runs for a minimum of 10 weeks.<\/li>\n
    • You must be available to work a minimum of two full days per week (no weekends), but some departments may require more than two days. Typical business hours are 9:30AM to 5:30PM.<\/li>\n
    • Internships are open to college juniors and seniors, though some departments also accept graduate students and law school students.<\/li>\n
    • Please note that this is an unpaid internship, and we do not offer housing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
