We are seeking a dynamic individual employing technology with
\naesthetics to produce multi-disciplinary work that crosses between art
\nand design. Ability to teach all levels of new media in a studio art
\nprogram which currently includes ceramics, graphic design, painting,
\nphotography, printmaking, and sculpture. Extensive experience in at
\nleast one of the following areas: multi-screen video projection,
\ncomputational design, generative visual programming, data
\nvisualization, programming for interactive and\/or web environments
\nboth on and off screen, sensor controlled objects and environments,
\nreal-time graphical production and\/or motion capture, augmented
\ndigital performance, robotic objects and technology intervention in
\npublic space. Experience and expertise in areas of traditional media
\nis encouraged and welcomed.<\/p>\n
Knowledge of contemporary and historical visual arts, design, and
\ntheory. Research in area of specialization. Professional record and
\nprevious teaching experience highly desirable. The person hired will
\nhave shared faculty responsibility for developing departmental and
\ncross-collegiate programming in new media. Contributions to the
\ngeneral education mission of the college.<\/p>\n
