Front-End Web Development Manager<\/p>\n
The Knot.com is seeking a highly motivated, highly skilled Manager of Front-End Web Development. The ideal candidate will have expert-level hand-coded XHTML, CSS (no-tables layout), and JavaScript. Knowledge of AJAX, XML, XSLT, Perl, Flash (w\/ Action Script) a plus. Experience using ASP.Net (with C#) is a huge plus. This person will supervise team of front-end developers, oversee training and technical leadership, and assign and track resources. The Front-End Web Development Manager will act as the bridge between the creative department and software engineers and will work as part of a collaborative project team from definition to deployment. Candidate must possess a strong command of cross-browser development techniques, code optimization, and web design for large-scale, high-traffic websites. Candidate must display attention to detail, be able to organize time effectively, and work under extreme deadlines in a fast-paced environment.<\/p>\n
NECESSARY SKILLS<\/p>\n
–\tExpert-level knowledge of standards-based front-end web development techniques (hand-coded HTML, JavaScript, and CSS for layout)
\n–\tStrong experience with cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility
\n–\tExperience with Flash (and ActionScript knowledge) a plus
\n–\tExperience using Visual Studio .NET
\n–\tExperience with Perl a plus
\n–\tUnderstanding of XML and XSLT
\n–\tUnderstanding of W3C Standards and Specifications
\n–\tExperience with search engine optimization
\n– Experience working with source control systems
\n– Experience with Content Management Systems and Web Publishing
\n–\tExperience with UI and design<\/p>\n
