Basically, I’m looking to create an audio installation where people can sort of ‘play’ a phone system – they’ll be listening to music on the main menu, but then by punching buttons they can head in different directions. \u00a0So maybe something like within each particular section they can hit 1 through 9 to move somewhere else, where the music would change or maybe there would be spoken text (like Dial-a Poem) or something else. \u00a0Sort of like a Choose Your Own Adventure piece…. I’m imagining a lot of different directions people can go – get lost, forget how they got somewhere, not remember how to get back to a particular spot they liked when they do it again.<\/p>\n

So my ideal would be a system where the phone menu system is all in place with different slots available and then I could upload the sound files somewhere to fill in all the slots. \u00a0Maybe even more ideal would be the possibility to change the sound files… so when we tour to different cities we could make new ‘site specific’ components. \u00a0I have no idea if this kind of thing is possible…<\/div>\n
