Job Description
\nThe New York Times Company has an internship opportunity in the
\nResearch +
\nDevelopment Labs. The intern will work with members of the R+D team in
\ndeveloping in\u2010house data visualization projects, using multiple
\nscreens and possibly
\nsensors.<\/p>\n
Desired Skills:
\nAdvanced Processing (Java)
\nPhotoshop, Illustrator
\nUnix\/Linux\/Mac
\nWeb Service and APIs
\nSVN<\/p>\n
Optional Skills:
\nMySQL
\nArduino and knowledge of sensors
\nMost Pixels Ever (http:\/\/code.google.com\/p\/mostpixelsever\/)
\nCappuccino making skills (even though we don\u2019t have a cappuccino
\nmachine)<\/p>\n
Note: Only current, active undergraduate or graduate students are
\neligible. Students
\ncan either receive credit or pay ($20\/hour) for this internship. The
\nTimes Company
\nwill provide the necessary assistance a student needs in order to
\nreceive credit for
\nthe internship.<\/p>\n
