XIL uses social science<br \/>\nmethodologies to understand the currents of global socio-technological change in order to<br \/>\nbring business, market, and product value to Intel. We are seeking an ethnographer with<br \/>\ndeep interest and experience in understanding people and everyday lives around the globe.<br \/>\nThis is an entry level position and we are looking for candidates who recently completed their<br \/>\nacademic degrees.<\/p>\n<p>Individuals with strong research profiles have graduate level training in a social science<br \/>\ndiscipline such as sociology, economics, psychology, or anthropology.<\/p>\n<p>Qualified candidates\u2026<br \/>\n\u2022<br \/>\n\u2026have a track record of creative, innovative research thinking, and have or are about to<br \/>\ncomplete their PhD, or advanced graduate work.<br \/>\n\u2022<br \/>\n\u2026are inspired to develop research or \u201cdesign\u201d programs that seek to understand people,<br \/>\npractices and institutions and seek to use this understanding as a basis from which to map<br \/>\nout new, disruptive opportunities for technological innovation.<br \/>\n\u2022<br \/>\n\u2026believe in the value of interdisciplinary work and collaboration as means for conducting<br \/>\ninnovative research.<br \/>\n\u2022<br \/>\n&#8230;have exceptional communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, specifically the<br \/>\nability to communicate key messages to a broad technical audience, and to work with<br \/>\nbusiness stakeholders to translate ethnographic insights into business value.<br \/>\n\u2022<br \/>\n\u2026are enthusiastic about working in industry and are passionate about working at Intel<\/p>\n<p>Candidates should have some affinity for theory and theoretical frameworks as is relevant for<br \/>\ntheir area of expertise.
