POSITION DESCRIPTION AND DUTIES
\nThe New York City College of Technology, Department of Entertainment
\nTechnology,
\ninvites applications for a tenure-track, full time position in
\nInteractive Entertainment at the
\nrank of assistant professor, beginning in September 2009.
\nThe department offers undergraduate instruction in a variety of
\ndisciplines, including
\nlighting, sound, show control, and video systems. New programs in
\ndevelopment include
\nemerging media technology, music technology, interactive control, and
\nvideo production.
\nThe successful candidate will teach courses in several areas
\nincluding, but not limited to
\nInteractive Media, Entertainment Control Systems, Electricity,
\nTangible Computing, and
\nIntroduction to Entertainment Technology. The Assistant Professor
\nwill also be expected to
\ndevelop, plan, and prepare curricula related to a program track in
\nintegrated and
\ninteractive entertainment technologies.<\/p>\n
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
\nQualifications for the rank of assistant professor include a terminal
\ndegree in a field related
\nto interactive media systems, and significant experience in both
\ndesign and technical
\nimplementations. Media related software engineering experience and
\nexcellent
\ncommunications skills are essential. Candidates should provide
\nevidence of creative,
\nprofessional, and scholarly activity with adequate documentation of
\nproductions,
\npublications, research, and curriculum materials.<\/p>\n
