All positions<br \/>\nrequire an average of 10-15 hours of work per week and are unpaid,<br \/>\nhowever participants may earn university credit through participating<br \/>\ninstitutions.<\/p>\n<p>Internships: Spring and Summer 2009<br \/>\neditorial, website development, design,<br \/>\nand public programming positions available<\/p>\n<p>www.canopycanopycanopy.com<\/p>\n<p>Triple Canopy works collectively with writers, artists, researchers<br \/>\nand other collaborators<br \/>\non projects that deal critically with culture and politics, and the<br \/>\nways people engage<br \/>\nthem, both online and in the world at large. These investigations are<br \/>\nrealized in an<br \/>\nonline magazine as well as in public programs and print publications<br \/>\nencompassing<br \/>\nvarious fields and locales. We aim to present work and advance ideas<br \/>\ninformed by a<br \/>\nmultitude of disciplines and perspectives, and to disseminate them<br \/>\namong a broad and<br \/>\ndiverse audience. Our first issue was published on March 17, 2008.<\/p>\n<p>Internship duties<br \/>\nInterns take an active role in the editorial and production work that<br \/>\ngoes into each issue<br \/>\nof the magazine, as well as assisting with the development of public<br \/>\nprograms and the<br \/>\npursuit of grants. Depending on an intern&#8217;s interests and abilities,<br \/>\nduties may include:<br \/>\nsoliciting, evaluating, and coordinating the execution of articles<br \/>\nand artist projects;<br \/>\ntaking part in editorial meetings; research assistance; coordinating<br \/>\nand publicizing<br \/>\nevents; image editing and formatting; light coding and layout work;<br \/>\ndevising and<br \/>\nimplementing new features for the website. Interns are expected to<br \/>\ncontribute between<br \/>\n10 and 15 hours per week, for the duration of a school semester or<br \/>\nsummer.
