Triple Canopy, a nonprofit magazine that produces public programs and
\nprint publications, is seeking interns interested in editorial work,
\nwebsite development, design, and public programs. All positions
\nrequire an average of 10-15 hours of work per week and are unpaid,
\nhowever participants may earn university credit through participating
\ninstitutions.<\/p>\n

Triple Canopy works collectively with writers, artists, researchers
\nand other collaborators
\non projects that deal critically with culture and politics, and the
\nways people engage
\nthem, both online and in the world at large. These investigations are
\nrealized in an
\nonline magazine as well as in public programs and print publications
\nencompassing
\nvarious fields and locales. We aim to present work and advance ideas
\ninformed by a
\nmultitude of disciplines and perspectives, and to disseminate them
\namong a broad and
\ndiverse audience. Our first issue was published on March 17, 2008.<\/p>\n
Internship duties
\nInterns take an active role in the editorial and production work that
\ngoes into each issue
\nof the magazine, as well as assisting with the development of public
\nprograms and the
\npursuit of grants. Depending on an intern’s interests and abilities,
\nduties may include:
\nsoliciting, evaluating, and coordinating the execution of articles
\nand artist projects;
\ntaking part in editorial meetings; research assistance; coordinating
\nand publicizing
\nevents; image editing and formatting; light coding and layout work;
\ndevising and
\nimplementing new features for the website. Interns are expected to
\ncontribute between
\n10 and 15 hours per week, for the duration of a school semester or
\nsummer. All positions
\nare unpaid, however students may earn university credit through
\nparticipating
\ninstitutions.<\/p>\n
