About the Job<\/p>\n
We are seeking a highly motivated and creative individual for a software development
\nintern position focused on the creation of music tools and effects with GRAMMY-
\nnominated composer, producer and technologist BT. Qualified applicants should be
\naware of trends in music technology, and have demonstrable experience with both
\nelectronic music production techniques and software development in C++. The ideal
\ncandidate will also be familiar with tools such as Csound, Max\/MSP or SuperCollider for
\nprototyping music software, Ableton Live as a music production environment and
\niZotope effect plug-ins.<\/p>\n
Required Qualifications:
\n\u2022 Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
\n\u2022 Deep knowledge of digital audio, music production and sound design techniques
\n\u2022 Basic understanding of Digital Signal Processing (DSP)
\n\u2022 Experience developing software in C\/C++<\/p>\n
Preferred Qualifications:
\n\u2022 2-3 years formal software development training as part of a Computer Science
\nundergraduate program
\n\u2022 Proficiency with Csound, Max\/MSP, SuperCollider, or an equivalent patching
\nenvironment
\n\u2022 Formal music training and\/or music performance experience
\n\u2022 Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio, Apple Xcode, and\/or GIT
\n\u2022 Knowledge of scripting in Perl and\/or Bash<\/p>\n
Responsibilities will include:
\n\u2022 Working closely with BT to conceptualize and design new product concepts
\n\u2022 Prototyping new music production tools and audio effects
\n\u2022 Assisting in the development of iZotope products and technology
\n\u2022 Testing and ensuring accuracy of DSP algorithm implementation
\n\u2022 Fixing bugs and assisting in patching and maintenance of released products<\/p>\n
Note that consideration will be given to candidates who lack expertise in one or more of
\nthe desired skills but are able to provide a strong cover letter and can demonstrate
\nproficiency in one or more of the other areas of qualification.<\/p>\n
