The NYU Student Health Center is seeking a part-time Interactive
\nTechnology Project Coordinator to help support the development and
\nimplementation of a new high profile, university-wide, community
\nhealth and wellness initiative. \u00a0Take Care\/Live Well NYU combines an
\nevidence-based public health approach with innovative engagement
\nstrategies that will help students take charge of their health by
\ndeveloping salubrious habits and a healthy lifestyle. \u00a0Take Care\/Live
\nWell NYU seeks to increase engagement in preventive health while
\nempowering students to become active partners in their personal
\nwell-being. A key component of this initiative will be the development
\nand implementation of a technology portfolio of interactive platforms,
\nsocial media, and tools to engage students around ten priority areas.
\nAreas of focus include health literacy; stress; sleep; alcohol,
\ntobacco, and other drugs; mental health\/depression; sexual health;
\nphysical activity; nutrition; healthy interpersonal relationships; and
\na safe and healthy campus community.<\/p>\n
Working with an interdisciplinary team of medical, public health, ITS,
\nmarketing, film, and higher ed\/student life professionals and interns,
\nthe Interactive Technology Project Coordinator will oversee the
\ndevelopment of innovative technology solutions to support Take
\nCare\/Live Well NYU. \u00a0 \u00a0Solutions will involve a multidimensional
\napproach targeting individuals, communities, and the physical
\nUniversity environment. \u00a0 While the possibilities are endless, \u00a0some
\nspecific examples of projects may include creating and managing novel
\ncommunication tools, facilitating community environments, physical
\ndesign challenges to incorporate health and wellness into the
\nuniversity\u2019s physical infrastructure, developing
\nself-care\/self-tracking tools, and\/or implementing a framework for
\nprogram data collection and utilization.<\/p>\n
This position will: lead the project team in creating, implementing,
\nand evaluating innovative technological approaches to engage students
\nin their health and wellbeing; be responsible for project planning and
\nmanagement of resource allocation; and oversee the implementation of
\ninteractive technology projects. \u00a0 There may be opportunities to
\nsupport individual student research projects.<\/p>\n
