Christina Wong

ITP Alumni, Class of 2003

Leejone Wong is a Lecturer at New York University Tisch School of the Arts for the Department of Expository Writing. She teaches the course Art in the World, The World Through Art to drama, film, photography, and dance students. The course is designed to teach students the fundamentals of visual culture (the analysis and interpretation of images and sound through various contexts), as well as, the techniques and skills of inspired essay writing.

Previously, Ms. Wong was an assistant exhibition coordinator for ZKM (Center for Media and Art Technology) in Karlsruhe, Germany, and a multimedia designer for The Arts Program at NYC's Department of Design and Construction. Her writing has been included in FutureCinema, a collection of essays on the work of international artists who have experimented with digital technology and cinematic techniques, which was published by MIT Press and ZKM.

Ms. Wong has received both her B.S. and M.A. from New York University: as an undergraduate student, she was awarded the Dean's Scholarship, a full tuition scholarship for four years to study studio art; as a graduate student, she was awarded the Courtney Sale Ross Women in New Media Scholarship for her work with digital media arts at the Interactive Telecommunications Program.

She is currently working on her first fiction novel and various projects :).
