Thesis

Kevin Slavin founded area/code together with Frank Lantz in 2005 to build Big Games: large-scale, real-world games using mobile, pervasive, and location-aware technologies. area/code works with companies including Nokia, Walt Disney Imagineering, and New Line Cinema, agencies including JWT, BBDO, and Weber/Shandwick, and cultural institutions including the Carnegie Science Center. Slavin worked in advertising for 12 years focusing on large technology clients, and his work has been recognized by the One Show, the Clios, and the Art Directors Club. As an artist, his public city-scale work has been exhibited in Frankfurt’s Museum fuer Moderne Kunst.
